Scoring on bank 1 and cylinder one is extremely rare. Did he show you pictures? Oil consumption can have more reasons than scoring. Do you have an oil analysis, filter inspection? Would start with that and have a new bore scope beginning bank 2.

This. #1 is like the least likely cylinder to see scoring. I question a mechanic that only scopes one cylinder and does #1. What did the 6 spark plugs look like? Why were you having them scoped, etc.
