We are voting on whether to include Pcar Market 997 Auction cars to our game?

Me/Big Swole my assistant who monitor this game will discuss after results are in.
Large dollar gifts are being accepted to sway our decision - PM for addresses.

No, let’s keep it simple. Plus the other auction is not as interesting as BaT.

Also, Groove, point of clarification, Bgoetz actually started the game, with a lot of tweaking and input from a number of us who were in on it at the beginning to make it what it is now, but you and Biggie took over as the primary stewards

You are incorrect counselor---> I started the game and bgoetz chimed in with the BAT game initial Thread Post and I had him "take over the wheel" so to speak - If you read Post#5 through Post# 7 in this BAT Game Thread, you will see clarification and that I in fact started the game and bgoetz put up the Thread.

Post#5--->Groov: This thread should stick to 997 models and remain in 997 forum - that was the point when i first posted - agree? (I had mentioned BAT Game on another Thread that I started and bgoetz went ahead and started this Thread)

Post#6--->bgoetz: I am definitely not intending to step on your toes so please don’t take it that way. While I agree it would make sense to keep it 997, I am afraid that could get boring (how many 997s can we really look at). The idea with opening it up was to keep it interesting, that said if you feel strongly we can keep it 997. Whatever we do we should keep it here, because I think it is our group participating that will keep it fun
I am good with whatever, even if GroovZ wants to start another since he started the first. I just thought it would be neat and didn’t feel the need to wait for someone else to do it.

All good and whatever the mass decides on or votes on is cool w/me - I just figured keeping it 997 related makes more sense since those are the models associated with this forum. But I'm game for whatever works best - And bgoetz you take the wheel on this since you got er done yesterday
**I also wanted to add that my initial intent to do the BAT auction guessing game was to deflect all the negative discussions regarding these models.
The 997 is a great model and we all must realize only 1-2% of owners have any issues with these cars which is much less of a % than many of the previous Porsche models made.
The negative topics seem to be magnified in this forum and everyone needs to realize that a higher % of owners with problematic 997's post in these forums just like any other car forum.

Linder--->Appreciate your heads up as I have not researched going back in a while - I now see I was the sole person who started the BAT Guessing game and I think Big Swole offered to assist later down the road
So from now on I will refer to Big Swole as my assistant.

how can you trust PCAR when they are a shill site for a dealer that doesn't disclose full details about cars actually selling and half the time you can't even trust the final bids?

I just like the BAT UI/UX over Pcar. Also how does the "Deal tank" factor into the game (if we used Pcar)? Would the deal tank price be the final sale price / winning guess when there is no auction winner or would it be closest to final guess when reserve is not met? I feel like we have a good thing going why F with it? Just opinions from the peanut gallery.

I am all for a democracy but maybe in this instance we need a dictatorship. I would be more in favor of just waiting a bit between games for a more interesting car to show up over using two platforms.

Hex---> Good point....and Powder J I agree.
I never cared for PCARmarket however wanted to open it up to game players opinions since I got a couple of requests.
When contacted/speaking with PCAR 2 years ago years ago, my vague somewhat clouded memory remembers it not being such a great experience. Sort of slick New Yorker's located in Florida if I recall.
As mentioned I've used BAT to sell couple of cars and was a good experience. My only gripe was not being able to write up the description myself and relying on their representative to do an accurate job. So much back and forth changing verbiage and finally after 5-6 emails they got description close. Also BAT setting reserve was a bit of a struggle because they shoot on the low side to encourage sales and made me a bit nervous but in the end the auction sale price was pretty much where I wanted it. Have to remember this was prior to the car sale craze we are experiencing currently.

My No vote isn't showing because I voted myself for President.
Big Swole also had expressed not including PCAR so that's 2 No Votes so No's outweigh Yes's 9 vs 8

In the end I will discuss w/Big Swole so probably going to lean to the "No" on including PCarmarket.

Well how it really went was that I was new and didn’t know the pecking order. Groove started with the first auction and then it was suggested to make an official thread. Groove was old and slow and I being young and impatient gave him about 6hrs before deciding to break ranks and go it alone. Little did I know this would be a precursor to how the actual game would go, with me taking off strong and Groove rolling slow and steady. Look at it now, I blew my load early, hardly able to make it in for a guess anymore and I don’t think Groove hardly misses an auction, passed me up months ago 😂.

As to the question I vote no, you guys have kept the game going forever, keep the winning formula!

I voted for BaT only. There are enough selections that I don't think we need another pool. Certainly not simultaneous auctions or anything like that. I've read a good amount of the early part of the thread, really interesting to see how the game evolved and how much confusion there was over early winners when the guess list wasn't updated with each guess.
