I wanted to introduce my self and new 997 to the forum.
I’ve had the pleasure of owning several iterations of 911s and when to opportunity to get a manual GTS off market I pounced. This one pairs well with my ‘86 911.
I am the 3rd owner of this car.
Just over 25k miles after my trip home to NC after purchase.
Besides the 6MT, my favorite aspect of this car is the alcantara delete. Heated/cooled seats and spotless interior had me grinning the whole drive home.
These cars drive so well!
So far I’ve pulled the original PPF off the car and installed new film. The right rear muffler had the notorious rattle so I’ve replaced with a new OEM muffler. Everything else is original.
The car is in fantastic shape and checked out with the local dealer with a clean bill of health. I’m looking forward to many more drives in this GTS.
The bypass is on the list to do, based on all the feedback I’ve seen on this forum.
Congrats on a hard to find 911 variant. Yes, the center muffler bypass is a must imo to get the full enjoyment of the car. I have Sharkwerks on mine and it's killer with the PSE but there are other options as I'm sure you're aware of. I haven't heard the sound of any of the others but I feel pretty safe saying that any of the bypass options will be a vast improvement over the OEM center muffler.
