here’s the run down:
2010 Carrera S guards red with black standard leather Manual-decent options not great: sport chrono, shifter trim in exterior color, adaptive lights, nav and Bluetooth-who cares. 60k miles but always had consistent service at Porsche dealer. Texas Car. I’d give the paint an 8/10 especially With 60k on the clock. Interior is 9/10. Michelin PS with good tread. It needs front pads and rotors (rear aren’t too far behind but have some time) but that helped me get a better price. Over rev report had 1 range one. I need to replace the switch to open the frunk.
the worst part…some one installed a front plate😭. Looks like it has bullet holes in the bumper when i removed it. Literally almost prevented me from buying the car.
Impressions:
while I really enjoyed my PDK cab. This is what I wanted in the first place. While it’s basically the same car it feels like a totally different experience with a roof and manual transmission. For me the experience is well worth the additional cost I had to pay. Someone in This thread said life is too short to sweat the small stuff. the small increase In cost was well worth the driver engagement and satisfaction I have had in one day of ownership. Not going to lie, the guards red was a bit of challenge for me at first, but after 12 hours of ownership…I love it. It makes it feel More special. My wife hates it but that makes me like it more 😂. I wish I could have found a lower mile example locally but with the 2-3k I’ll put on it in a year I’m not worried. And it feels as tight as my 30k mile cab. Also, I want something I’m not afraid to drive. I feel like I have a clutch replacement hanging over my head but given the rest of the maintenance history I’m not terribly concerned if I need to address it. I would have loved sport seats and full leather but I have no feelings of regret like I did with my PDK cab. After I address the brakes, I need to do something with exhaust…too quiet.
Guards Red C2S in Manual! You did very well, wow what a result. I love the color personally and it’s surprising you were able to find it so quickly, really was meant to be.
as for the other exhaust mods, just finished mine, check the thread here I just posted videos:
I’m late to the party, last I read is there was a PPI pending. Congrats, looks great! If a guards red 997 would’ve popped up I would’ve had no qualms about buying it. Welcome to the 3-Pedal Posse!!
