Impressive. With your current mileage you have gotten almost 100K miles more out of your water pump than I got out of mine on the -09 C4S that seized up at 43K miles. Blind luck I guess since I don't recall hearing or reading of any preventive maintenance that prolongs the life of water pumps. And 16 cents a mile. Can you drive a Kia for that cost per mile?

Best car and least expensive I've ever owned. Bruce from Philly also got a lot of miles out of his water pump. Luck of the draw perhaps but the 997.2 pumps seem to be generally good. I know of no water pump maintenance options.

misterdega I’m glad you posted several pics. After looking at the first one I was going to ask what that was coming out of rear bumper

Nice to see all the high-mileage cars. How are you interiors holding up? Squeeks and rattles?

Mines been great. Some wear on there plastic parts (switches etc) that I've tried to touch up but all in all much better than you would expect. Factor in I've got a cab so more sun with the top down. The full leather still looks like new and I'm more than satisfied. I try and take good care of interior as well as the exterior. I've had more wear on the steering wheel than anything else and that can easily be replaced.

At 142K miles my interior remains new with the exception of the carbon fiber center console that my grandkids stepped on (cracking ensued that the acrylic cement "fix" only hid temporarily). To that I'm debating a grind down resin fill, a wrap, a covering (leather or ...), a replacement piece (McCarbon), or living with it as a reminder.

I really haven't taken a lot of time to keep things clean and treated. Just the occasional wipe down. I've always worried about using treatments that might affect the tanning or other factory enhanced surfaces. So mostly it's been warm water wipes at most.

Hmmmm ... there is a worn spot on my steering wheel that was there when I acquired stewardship at 35K miles. I suspect hand lotion. I adamantly avoid putting anything on my hands that could transfer to any car surface.

I allow myself to be amazed from time to time at how good it still looks. I hang with others who drive their cars as well. And their interiors have also held up well. But this group finds pride as well as enjoyment in Porsche ownership so they do care for their cars. YMMV.

From a different view ... It would be interesting to see pictures of Bruce's interior. I know he uses that car hard as he goes into the swamps to locate birds.

Yes I agree, the interior is holding up well.

My 2011 C2S has 77k on the clock. The leather is in great shape but the painted plastic parts around seat belts, PDK etc are losing the paint (silver color), and I have some squeak sounds from the rear speaker grills. And as mentioned, the steering wheel is too shiny.

Overall a great car, I love it
