Admirable restraint in keeping the miles low but with that also admirable restraint in the enjoyment of driving these amazing cars. I have 69,500 miles on my -11 GTS with no regrets whatsoever. Quiet the opposite since I bought the car to enjoy driving it. Not just to look at it. To each their own...

The "Porsche 997 (2004-2012) The Essential Companion) book lists total production numbers for model years. No info on transmission type. As I mentioned on another thread recently, GTSs weren't always rare, relatively speaking. I have a 2011 C2S couple - 849 total production. 2011 GTS coupe - 2265 total production. The Companion book is a gem and a must have for any 997 fanatic. Written by Adrian Streather, Forward by designer Grant Larson.

Yeah, my bad.
The prev owner put 13K on it in 10 years.
Not quite a time capsule, but 130 miles/month is more than a bit of wasted opportunity.
The value of my GTS, at least to me, is derived from driving it.
A collection of cars that seldom/never are driven is not a place for a GTS, or any GT Porsche model.
An NFT or engineless model would serve just as well for showmanship or diaper polishing purposes.
NOT using something designed, manufactured and sold to be USED is a bit of insanity, or at least cognitive dissonance, despite it being totally within the owner’s right to do so.
Like smile lines on an old person’s face, flaws on a driven 911 are an indication of a life well-lived.
An old virgin car is as pathetic as it’s human counterpart.
Regret is a worthless emotion, avoided by merely doing what is apparent only in hindsight.
Drive your freakin’ cars!

Being a northern based car has led it to be driven less due to weather constraints in the Chicagoland area.
This one is a keeper as is my 964! I've put 7 k miles on my 964 since the total rebuild was finished in 2018.
Obligatory photo of said car!

In case it's helpful, I prepared the attached spreadsheet showing the North American 997 GTS builds, including columns for VIN, transmission, body style, year, exterior colour and interior colour / material. This information is available elsewhere, but everything I could find was a list without the data sorted into columns.
holy shneikies, I’m 1 of 2 North American 4GTS Cabrio 6-spd in meteor grey with alcantara seats!!!!

Nice list of mods.
I’m curious to hear how this one goes…
Numeric Shifter and cables (with cable sleeves)
…as I am buying this OEM Short Shift assembly with the Function First Shift Right Solution kit installed.
http://www.function-first.com/produc...right-solution
Curious about any NVH increase with any mods to shifter or especially the linkage (which I’ve read does transmit a lot into the cabin).
The wheels you bought should cure the 997 GTS crappy offset look.
What ET are the Apex?
EDIT:
Those wheels are very cool.
18.8 and 21.7 lbs are as light as BBS or Forgeline equivalents- for 60% less.
If they fit like my OZ UL 9/12 with 47/48:
The ET 46 rears will completely flush fill the rear wells, but the ET 47 fronts will be ever so slightly proud as the GT2 RS that wore them had small front well extensions.
Congrats on the purchase.
It is an awesome real world road Carrera.

I just purchased last month. It was advertised via an email to about 350 people and I responded within minutes of email with a deposit pending ppi. Price was well under window sticker so I knew it was a great deal.
2 owner vehicle with 2nd owner since 2012. He only drove less than 1 k a year and was meticulous about it.
Car has minimal options, which I like.
The only one that I wish it had was SPASM but I'm addressing that with mods below.
PO did no mods but I am doing a few reversible things:
* Techart Springs
* Rear Bump Steer kit
* Rear toe links
* DCS module
* Sharkwerks Crossover Exhaust section
* RSS Enging mounts
* Numeric Shifter and cables (with cable sleeves)
* Numeric Pedals
* Paint correction
* Full PPF - Sunteck
* Ceramic coating on top of film
* Ceramic Tint - 35%, 50% for windsheild
* Apex VS-5RS Brushed Clear 19 x 9 and 19 x 12 rims ... won't be delivered until June sometime.
* Pilot Sport 4S in 245/35/19 Fronts & 325/30 R.
** LSD Rear end - waiting on this one.

Badass build!! $130K+ MSRP.
What do you get with the “25 Years Exclusive Package”?
More pictures, please.
I know nada about how many are configured like yours, but wish mine was optioned with full leather and alcantara seats/steering wheel. I’m a big fan of the feel of my paws and posterior against the fake suede. Or Race-Tech…or whatever PAG is calling it these days. Like leather pants or gloves, not a material I want touching my sweaty skin. YMMV.
My only unique feature is Sport Chrono, added by the PO.
OEM button, software and install by a dealer. No ugly/useless wart on my dash, but alas, no hide. The plastic has held up remarkably, though I use a windshield solar shade (religiously) in SoCal and Las Vegas.
Otherwise, content with a RWD, 6MT, Coupe with LSD and PASM ride height.
car takes everything I throw at it and it absorbs all the crappy road surfaces I endure to/from the canyons in SoCal.
Surprised you didn’t notice much effect with the DSC box installation.
My ride is ridiculously more compliant on rough roads and exponentially better at the limit, mid-apex, when encountering a road imperfection that would previously upset the chassis enough to change available grip early or mid corner. No bueno pre-apex in a 911. Post apex, no prob, stomp it and steer like a madman. Works for me.
I will never go back to the OEM PASM controller. Best $1K I ever spent on my GTS. By far.
