I did not go this route, although in hindsight, the suncoast deal might have been a bit of a better deal. Anyway, I recently swapped out my black spoke inserts (just plain black, no little bolts in them) for the black with bolts. If any one needs a full set let me know. They are in perfect shape. And for some reason, the plain set is quite a bit more expensive than the set with the little bolts, no idea why. Shoot me a PM if you need a set.
I was going to wait and see to see if that SC hole was even visible.
I went with the black T piece and the brushed aluminum (which I was going to paint or hydro dip the same 997.2 trim color) inside the spokes.
If it’s an issue and I can’t pick up a used T trim or could bondo the plastic sand and hit it with satin black or hydro dip it.
Will know more when I get it in my hands.
I have the chrome T piece and the other day decided I want black. $420 for just that piece from Suncoast. Pfft. 300 grit sandpaper just to scuff it a little and 12 coats of SEM spray black trim paint and it looks amazing!

could you post a pic? I have the same issue. It’s too chrome for me and I have thought about painting it.
So I now have an extra chrome T piece and the three all plain black front and rear inserts if anyone needs a set. The bottom insert is actually for a heated wheel (which I don't have) but you can't really see the button
FWIW, the plain black trim pieces from Suncoast are quite a bit more expensive then the chrome or black ones with the little bolts in them on the front. No idea why. And for me the ones with the bolts look sportier/better.
I knew the bling inserts or the bling front while cover was not for me due to lack of bling in the 997.
So I got the black inserts and painted mine a color similar to the bezel trim, did a search and some sleuthing on Rennlist and saw a member mention Nissan KR2 Interior Trim Paint as a dead on match. I agree, it’s perfect.
Then bought an extra airbag trim ring from BobZ on here, he painted it satin black. I sanded it down and finished it in matte black. Then removed the bling ring by prying it up and placed the matte black ring in its place.
So happy with this wheel. My car has the multifunction from the factory but the MF modules to me are limited in function and our radio has a ****, also wanted a simple/clean look.
Now just need to throw it in.
