I did this swap with the Macan wheel, now I'm getting a airbag light and the horn doesn't work.
I have only 3 connections tied in which are the 2 wires that connect to the horn/airbag and the blue wire which i believe is the ground.
Can someone give me some advice or additional instructions 😅

Do you have a manual wheel? Or PDK/multi function?

I have a manual with MF, I believe I'm missing something because there's nothing for the MF wires to plug into

If you have a 997.1, you’ll need a 997.2 module, and also an adapter for MF https://gpsadapter.us/products/stmv1...nt=38387040203

I called Suncoast and they said they will not do this modification. They directed me to this wheel instead - https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU9X1G2GTB.html

That's too bad. I hope a few folks were able to take advantage of the deal before they stopped it. For the $600 delta, I would just take the cheaper wheel and live with the SC dial even if it were inoperative.

The whole wheel is modular, just remove the SC dial.

On Monday I bought the GT manual MF w/ SC controller wheel and got some additional blanks to put in place of the MF.

It was cheaper to spec the wheel that way and remove the MF and SC wheel.

That is what I am thinking. Can you share pics of the back with the SC dong removed?

^ close.

The GT wheel inner trim bits are a different part number, and actually cheaper.

Below is my order, also went for the airbag because of fraud on the secondary markets related to repackaging of airbags.

Can’t imagine the shade my wife would throw at me in my Obituary if I cheapened out on that and died because of it.

On your question in your PM to me re: the Sport Controller wheel hole if removed, I read somewhere that it’s pretty much impossible to see it on the bottom and back. You can absolutely see it when the wheel is off the steering column and in your hands but it’s not visible when installed.

Figured I would judge for myself if that is the case when it arrives.

Worst case is if it’s distracting I can look for another trim piece without that hole and replace.

Will post here when it arrives and I start configuring the wheel.

Also worth mentioning, another member was offering black airbag trim rings.

He has already completed and sold one group and is taking names to see if he can get another 35 folks to sign up.

So if you’re interested let him know.

Yes, I am aware the wheel is modular, I started the thread, lol.

I'm not so sure you won't notice the gaping cutout on the front main trim piece if you simply remove the dial, see below:

You would need to buy a non-dial trim piece, which is $415, and really wipes out the savings of buying the $995 wheel sans the dial in the first place. If I were faced with buying the GT wheel again, I think I would still buy the $995 wheel and just leave the inoperative dial on the wheel to avoid the very obvious cutout.

I will say that the non-MF trim that goes on the backside of the wheel is not really needed. I skipped it on my build and, while you can feel the holes on the backside with your fingers, you obviously can't see it.

Looks identical to my order list from Suncoast as outlined in my first post in this thread. As mentioned above, if you don't want to keep the dial, you will have to also buy the following part for $415 otherwise you will have an obvious cutout on the trim where the dial used to go.

I was going to wait and see to see if that SC hole was even visible.

I went with the black T piece and the brushed aluminum (which I was going to paint or hydro dip the same 997.2 trim color) inside the spokes.

If it’s an issue and I can’t pick up a used T trim or could bondo the plastic sand and hit it with satin black or hydro dip it.

Will know more when I get it in my hands.
