Sorry, long time to respond.

The car landed here Christmas weekend. We were fortunate to have a day of clear weather left before the snow and salt.

It is just as described by the seller, no disappointments here. The odd thing about the color is that is simply does not photograph accurately on an iPhone. It is far more turquoise/aqua than it shows in these pics.

The way the sun strikes the paint impacts the color. Unless you were parked right next to a Speedster that was Pure Blue you’d never be able to tell the difference. That said, could you stop taking pictures of my car (&#128515. Seriously though, be prepared to get lots of thumbs up 👍, comments on how much people love your car, and people taking pictures. I try to humbly just say, “Thank you so much” and move on. Welcome to the 3AS club. -Best.

Congrats on the purchase! Truly a special find.
I picked up a 2011 GTS cab last summer. It's my daily driver and I take my 3 year old to/from daycare several days a week. No problem at all.

Beautiful. Not a lot of cars can be referred to as investments but this could be one of them. I say this since there's been a lot of talk here lately about 997 prices having bottomed out. You have have a really special one of those supposedly bottomed out 997's so unless you beat the hell out of it, pile on an awful lot of miles, fail to maintain it on schedule and just neglect it I don't see how you couldn't drive and enjoy it and possibly sell it for more than you paid some years down the road.

Guesswork and speculation of course but based on a lot of opinions here lately which I think make sense.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I did not buy it with investment intention, but my overall strategy is always to buy the best example of what I want and it's usually played-out well when I sell them on later.

Next steps are clear-bra on the front clip so I can drive it a little with all the road hazards around the area, then drive for a couple summers.

I didn't buy mine with any kind of investment intention in mind either but a lot of posts here lately seem to indicate that well cared for and well maintained accident free 997 prices have at least bottomed out and possibly have started a slow appreciation trend. Interesting to see where it goes. I say that having seen what happened to the 993 market.

And adding a clear bra is a great idea. I have one on mine and looking at it I'm glad it's there instead of bare paint. You get the idea. The low profile of the car along with the shape of the hood makes it vulnerable.

The sale / purchase of this car is a bellwether for the 997.

Congratulations, she’s absolutely gorgeous! Just picked mine up in October, 2012 4 GTS Cabrio 6 spd with 23k miles. Parked for the NJ winter, can’t wait to being her out in the spring!

Some pics, as well as a goodie that came in the mail today!

Wheels returned to black

Heard this center muffler delete does wonders for making the exhaust sound even more intoxicating with sport exhaust on or off!

Great to see pics of other 997 GTSs. It’s an ultra-small community here of an ultra-small population of cars and owners. Love to hear about other cars and their stories!
