Big jump to $86k then when I looked again $90k. Three minutes to go. Seems destined for $95k

Edit: Nope. Hit $90k when it ended. Reserve not met. What a big letdown.

Not surprising it was RNM if the seller originally asked $115k. It's not that special, yet. The comments in the auction are interesting, especially by some BAT poster named 997.2GTS whom clearly has a Doppelganger here based on the smartassy posts. Should be an easy guess.

Lol, no need to guess. Guilty as charged.

$115k is crack pipe territory. I think where it ended up $94,500 with buyer premium is a strong, but somewhat reasonable price.

The market is what the market is. It's most definitely not $115k. I also think BAT topped out where this one could go. This car will be sitting for another 10 years if the seller doesn't come back to earth. I'm thrilled to see the stupid high money for these cars but to me, this one is unremarkable except the low miles. It's a time capsule missing the wheels it came with. Doug, you know cars' will this thing appreciate to even higher levels in 10, 20 years? The seller is asking for someone to invest in this car, like they did. I ask this as a serious question because to me it's a pretty plain GTS. It's got a 6 speed and full leather and wheels that were either painted or didn't come with it so it's not original.

As someone who owns a low mileage 6 speed GTS, I'd like to think they are special cars. The reality is they are a mass produced car, 6 sp or not, they can't be that special can they?

Yep, your car is much nicer and much more desirable and special build. If I had yours, I would keep it for sure. Who knows what these things will be worth in the future.

Looks like I missed out on the final outcome of the BAT auction today.

I must admit that I too enjoyed reading the color commentary by "997.2 GTS" on the BAT site and the additional insight from Doug H (anyone whose owned 40 +|- 911s certainly brings a wealth of insight and knowledge to the forum).

Also agree that $90k with BAT fee is a reasonable value for that particular $4k mile 997.2 MT GTS unicorn.
