Wonderful. Thanks for the info. Now I'm very temped to get the aluminum doors and ducktail done. Those seem to be only two good reversible options to save weight from the body.

Burning Brakes
There are carbon doors also: https://www.fvd.net/us-en/KEV5311360...lbs-72-kg.html

I came across a lightweight front crash bar made by Reno Rennsport that fits 997 and 987. They claim that the bar will save 10 lbs, which is nice as it will offset some of the weight added by the third radiator.

I have just placed an order for it to find out if they weight saving claim is true. It's not that expensive and I'm taking the bumper cover off anyways for my brand new aero bumper that's being painted.
By the way, if someone is looking for a brand new primed 997.1 aero bumper lip ready for paint. I've listed one on the marketplace. It came with the aero bumper. But I no longer need it since I'm going with the cup lip.

Took out the bumperette and install the bumperette delete plate from Cypher Vehicle Design. The paint matching and quality is great. The net weight saving is only 2.125 lbs. But visual improvement is well worth it for me. I really don't like the look of the bumperette.

My real addiction was a VW Mk5 R32 that was modified to make 882 hp to the wheels. And curb weight reduced from 3,500lbs to 2,683lbs.
Below is a dyno video and some photos. It got so out of hand that I had to get rid of it to avoid it ruining my life further.

I'm going to ask a stupid question.... when that car was making 800+hp, was it still an enjoyable car to drive? Or did you feel like every second behind the wheel you were just holding on for dear life?
I can't imagine driving a car with that much power in a chassis that lightweight. But I'm guessing you get used to it???

do you have to take the bumper off to install that bumperetts delete?

Yes, you need to take the bumper cover off as well as the bumper bar. Because you need to drill out the bumperetts on the bumper bar.

Three Wheelin'
To be honest, this is pretty mild to my standard. So far I've spent $15k in total on the 997. That includes everything including PPF and ceramic coating that I didn't bother listing.

Awesome!! I knew you had something else up your sleeve besides your 997 build. I'm still messing with the Supras. This is my buddy's old setup and told him to keep that BW S366 since it sounds so insane.
