Big night!

Here we go

Installed Function First Engine Mounts (this ended up being a necessary change)
Installed new plugs and coil packs (no issues, but I have no record this was ever done so it was time)
Installed Fister Exhaust (you know why
Replaced Starter (current one was a little slow, preventive)
Replaced S belt (while in Rome...)

All went great except for my stupid cheap torque wrench ruined one of my threads on the 1st coil pack I did on the passenger side. Not sure of the cylinder number. Anyone have any repair ideas other than helicoil (base is now cracked)

it holds the bolt, but the base is cracked

Looks like definately needed new mounts. Big sag

With everything apart this was a 30 minute job New Function First Engine mounts

Old exhaust

Fister ready to go in. a little banged up

Done

Replacing the starter is a pain, I removed the alternator and that helped gain access to the lower Torx bolt.

Done!

Exhaust is much tighter to the bumper

Buttoned everything up. You guys were right about the engine mounts. They were bad.

What I did-
  1. Refinish Console using TheBruce method
  2. Replaced Drivers side door handle panel
  3. Install Mr 12V Bluetooth in Frunk replacing the CDC
  4. Phoenix Engineering Aluminum Shift Bushings
  5. Replaced rusted wheel bolts with Black ones
  6. Put original Porsche wipers back on
  7. Function First Engine Mounts
  8. Fabspeed Cold Air Intake
  9. New Bosche Starter
  10. Plugs and Coil Packs
  11. Replaced Porsche Serpentine Belt
  12. Dansk Quad exhaust tips
  13. Fister Exhaust
Top 3 things after driving the car
  1. Fister Exhaust by a large margin
  2. Mr 12V Bluetooth- just nice to have tunes in the car
Tie for 3
Engine Mounts- really seemed to tighten the whole car up. Hard to explain, but noticeable.
Shifter bushings- again a noticeable difference- thought about a short shifter, but this is nice for now

Thanks to all for the responses and kind words.
Time to drive...

Do the short shifter. Big difference. I got the B&M from Champion Porsche which is less expensive than the OEM short shifter but has a shorter throw than the OEM. Other brands too but from what I've read, correct install is more important than the brand although many swear the Numeric is the one to get. Some who did the install themselves complained and regretted the mod. For this reason I had my dealer do the install and it was perfect. The thing that seems difficult to get right is the adjustment/calibration of the shifter cables. This was for my long gone -06 C4S btw.

^^Agree on Shirt Shifter. So much better - I have Fucntion First Short Shifter.
Great that you have done all this work yourself!
How did the cracked coil mount repair go? Did you use JB Weld?

Groovzilla
I am going to leave it for the time being. There was enough thread to hold it. It has LockTight on it and the other bolt was fine. If it has to come out I will either JB weld it or have it fixed permanently with a spot weld

Did you install the Function First shifter yourself?
