How would one go about adding to 997 buckets? Link?
No link I'm afraid, but in a nutshell...source heating elements from Porsche or purchase ROW cushions with them already installed and then make a simple wiring harness connecting them into the under seat connector. This of course assumes your car came from the factory with some version of heated seats to begin with. Could probably use 'aftermarket' heating elements if you wanted since you're making a wiring harness anyhow, but I went with the OEM stuff.
I would suggest using Cantrell Motorsports 987/997 Sport Seat Sub-Belt mounts with ROW 991 seats. They are a bolt on and work fine with the occupancy sensor and other minor updates to use these in US cars with airbag support. Take a look here:https://rennlist.com/forums/718-foru...l#post18354369
As another point of information, using a pressure sensor bag for the passenger seat is an easy enough mod and ends up providing full error free airbag support with no PWIS programming needed. https://rennlist.com/forums/718-foru...l#post18355116

Okay, thanks!! Buyer actually just picked up the seats, but he’ll send that back to me when he installs (presumably he needs that same part from his to mate with his chassis).
P.S. Chris, our old 987 lives in Canada now and has a LS transplant! I blew up not only the original motor, but also a 4.2L Vision motor.

I felt the same about the idea, but the guy is doing a really detailed and tasteful job with it. I’ll hunt some down and PM you. It will be bonkers with that motor. I kept going with your awesome work on the chassis. Added JRZs and pretty much full monoballs throughout. It was amazing on track.
Installed my new 991 GT2 buckets sourced from Gert last week and met up with my buddy who is a porsche tech today to code out the AWS. We successfully coded out the AWS but dash was still showing a DTC, which was 8054 (Passenger's belt buckle, short circuit to B+). We checked live data and the Resistance value of passenger belt buckle was showing 255 Ohms. Pictures attached. I emailed Gert and he said that was very strange.... there is no wiring going to the passenger seat buckle, only the drivers.
Anyone ever experienced the same? We were able to get the dash light off by clearing the code several times but the DTC is still present.
many thanks. so gert was wrong and i'm an idiot. appreciate the input. all the DIYs and posts i've read say the 991 GT2 seats are plug and play minus the aws/occupency sensor... was asking if any experienced the same short circuit with brand new seats.
I installed 991 ROW folding bucket seats purchased from Gert (Carnewal). I had my local Porsche tech code out the errors. He used his PIWIS diagnostic tool. I don't know exactly which modules he coded out and I don't have any errors showing on the dash. I hope that helps.
