Skip the cover, and apply a high quality nano/ceramic coating to your car.

Car cover outside sounds very annoying. I had one on a bike once and all it did was scratch the bike up. A car is even more weatherproof than a bike so I say skip it.

This is the best option. Covers are great ways to scratch the paint, though they do help the rubber and plastic trim. They can also trap moisture under themselves. If your garage was dusty and you weren't going to drive the car for a while, I think a cover can be OK if placed immediately after washing and drying the car. Outside there is just too much opportunity for dust to get under the cover and the wind to ruffle the cover.

Be careful with car covers outside - They can screw up paint if tarp gets wet and resting on cars paint surface for long periods of time.

Car shelter is the best way.

Car covers damage paint due to vibration and flapping in the wind with dust finding its way far enough to scratch the paint. and paint protection doesn't help with freezing rain damage.

I tried the Porsche outdoor car cover for a couple weeks during some home renovations. I spent the third week polishing all the scratches out of the paint. Never again

Condensation will get under the cover. Dust and dirt will get under the cover. Wind will whip it against the paint. Bad.

Peace

I cover mine during any significant bad weather, blizzard conditions or high winds. Off when it calms down or warms enough. It is very snug and I have never noticed any scratches or damage. For me, I feel much better that it's protected from harsh elements blowing twigs, acorns etc..

Just looked it up. Interesting. You will need to run out an extension cord.

No offense, but it is a bit of an eyesore-I would rather look out my windows at the lines of my 911.

I didn't say it was pretty. I'd rather look at the lines of my 911 in the garage, but if not possible, would take the eyesore that keeps rodents out, a cover from sticking to it, and protects it from the elements.

So if you have to leave outside, is it better to get wet or to be covered. Its a Cabriolet too and driven at least 4 days a week.

Better to leave it uncovered. Covers trap moisture - even waterproof ones L, and wind will make the cover scratch the paint.
