with my previous car (e90 m3) i used a covercraft evolution cover whenever i leave the car out for a few days. inside of the cover is felt padded, the cover is heavy so doesn't flap in wind that much. never noticed scratches from the cover. obviously, you still have to be careful to not use it when the car is dirty, and be careful in putting in on / taking it off. now with the 997 being smaller and easier to fit into my cramped garage i don't use a cover anymore. but i'd say you have to weigh the damage you get from leaving in sun / UV for a long time v.s. potential scratches...

Consider a dehumidifier inside your car if it's going to sit around for a while.

Be careful with that. You can really dry out your leather that way.

I live in miami and my car stays parked in the garage of my building. It has windows and open spots.
I noticed after leaving the indoor car cover from Porsche that there always a lot of humidity inside and also in paint It seems like mould was creating. Many small white dots. Easy to remove but didn’t look good.

I use the cover to protect from leaks, sand from the beach …. But this humidity things is stopping me from.

what solutions to avoid humidity inside?
I’ve tried this (pic below) when I left my car for a month in summer (miami) and absorbed humidity. -> those yellow things (silica *****) like the one la you find inside shoes become green once wet.

Othe let people suggested just to put silica gel bags.
