Red Leather Interior
#31
IMO the red dashes, red carpets and red steering wheels are the worst - The newer "lighter" color red looks better with some black carpet, black dash and black steering wheel.
My Slate grey 1962 Mercedes 190SL had a nice deep red interior - Had red sun visor's but the red was a nice deep color wine-red which looked rich against the white steering wheel and retro dash. It had black carpets and center tunnel carpet.
Here's an old photo from 24 years ago that you can sort of make out the dark red----> Too bad they drive like a school bus.

[QUOTE=TommyV44;16047977]I had a beautiful 2006 Arctic Silver C4S with a LTS Lipstick Red interior and it was breathtaking. Got tired of the Silver but never the red!!
Did you order your car through the Porsche Exchange in Highland Park IL?
I saw a car meeting this exact description when I picked up my 2006 Dark Olive Metallic 997 Carrera S.
The dealer told me the silver car had 40k in Exclusive options. I remember it had red LTS and leather everything, map light cover, sun visors, etc. It was like a demonstration car for the Porsche Exclusive catalogue.
I never saw anything like that and I never forgot that car. I wonder if that was yours.

I searched and searched for a red interior car. I never did find one that was a nice deal. By far the coolest color interior. (Even if Porsche goes a bit over the top and doesn't break up the red with some black accents)

I lived in NJ at the time so who knows but that interior was a beauty and I ordered it with a bunch of options. Here's a few pics...it even had a phone LOL!

Nice to see another LTS in lipstick red. I have a 2S in GT silver with lipstick red interior. i replaced the center console leather to black to break up the mostly red interior.

Go to www.diamondfloormats.com and order their black set with red stitching. Will tie the black console into the rest of the interior and look awesome. Not only that, but they feel great, protect all the OEM carpeting, and are super easy to clean (just brush any dirt or grass out the door and wipe with a damp rag or your favorite interior spray). Have them in 5 or my 8 cars - they don't make them for the other 3. Look online for a 20% off coupon code.
If anyone has an e70 BMW X5, I have a black set with beige stitching set from my daughter's old car available (front set, rear seat section, and boot area).

[QUOTE=E39Nutz;18272029]Did you order it that way? I never saw another Lipstick red in the wild! I loved that color red...sharp as hell. Maybe I should've put that in my TB 911 !

[QUOTE=TommyV44;18272339]The original owner ordered it that way, in Lipstick Red. I have different samples of red leather from him and Lipstick red is a brighter red and looks really nice. After all these years, it is not as sharp and looks more like Carerra Red now.
