There will always be something better and faster. My base C2 is more car than I'll ever be able to handle. You can get the 4S but why not a turbo, GT3, GT3RS, GT2 etc.....

Good news for used buyers, but you'd think Porsche would update its website for a major change like that.

I agree but it is about getting the most bang for your buck and this is where the used car market shines.

You beat me to it. CPO means nothing in terms of the overall condition of the car. It should but as the story linked to above proves, some dealers play fast and loose with the CPO guidelines. Yes, they will be obligated to repair whatever is covered by the CPO but I personally would not buy that car without a third party PPI. A PPI by the dealership selling the car is next to worthless IMO.

Thanks for all the help guys. I’m probably going to let this one pass and wait out for a c4s or a 997.2 with manual or pdk, especially after reading that CPO horror story.

On the online searches my region doesn’t have many Porsche’s available privately or at the dealership (specifically in my 35-45k price range).

I was hoping that a CPO would have helped me find a well maintained car as I will likely have to purchase from far away and have it shipped, but unfortunately I’ve learned that’s not much of a guarantee.

Cheers.
