Default C4S deckled reflector rant...

How in the world is such a simple plastic part worth $1500 and still be so susceptible to condensation? Does anyone have a viable workaround to fixing this eyesore?!? I can't even figure out how to take it off without breaking it.

Porsche had a problem with this stuff since the 964 came out in 1989. Clearly, they are slow to learn. 30 yers? I agree.

What part is this? I guess it doesn't bother me since I don't know what it is.

Hi Christian, you have to remove the deckled from the car, remove all the fan pieces so that the decklid is pretty much bare. from there there are 6-8 (cant recall exact) inner tabs that can be squeezed to release the reflector from the decklid itself.

do you have a photo of your issue?

I wouldn't pay that much. Would replace with a ducktail or a non wide body engine cover. If I recall they are the same.

Hey MYW! Sorry I have been offline for a bit, but could you PM me with what you would want for the reflector?

All,

I will get a picture today to post.

Thanks!

Not sure but mine has the same issue after a car wash. Annoys me, but I haven't had time to figure out how to resolve it. I don't think the part is damaged and I don't think replacement will solve the issue.
