Decided to go with some silver fuchs. I like them more than I expected. Nice contrasted look - it'll do for now!

Next up for project turbo - transmission mount, flex disc, transmission service (oil, filter, gasket), and engine mounts. Too bad it's getting hot out in Houston... DIY weather is quickly passing.

Those look great.

On the trans mounts, I just bought the black Torque Solutions inserts - street grade. For about half the cost of new mounts you can get their inserts, press out the old ones and press in these new ones. I haven't done mine yet, but check those out.

I'm running semi solid motor mounts from RSS and highly recommend them.

Interesting re: the motor mount inserts. Didn't realize you could buy separate inserts. Thanks! I will check them out. The install seems straightforward - likely to be cramped on jack stands as usual.

Standard turbo wing extended a little further than stock.

I second the RSS engine mounts. Much better than stock. Take a look at Modern Aircooled in Houston. Jordan is great to work with.

I don't know if they do those for motor mounts or not. Mine are for the transmission mounts.

Managed to get out for about an hour to take some photos with the new wheels. Pretty pleased with how they turned out.

Thanks, Guys,

Jeebus we'd be more than happy to give coding out that spoiler function with our PIWIS for you. We don't charge for quick things like that.
Also if you want to swing by if you have any questions about the car, I personally had a 996 turbo S with all the RSS bits on it and have a pretty good feel for how different changes you will make can affect the ride and handling.

Thank you very much for that kind offer. I've been wanting to stop by your shop for some time but I live on the other side of town - now, I will make an exception. I may have surreptitiously parked my car on your lot while going to the bar next door once or twice

Great job -realy like the new wheels - are they 'original' Fuchs or another brand, cast or forged?
