Hugely important question for a new 997.2 owner...

what at is the best fitting coffee container? Preferably one with a liquid tight lid...

I like the OEM Porsche one. Got one as a gift. Fits fine.

If you put too heavy of a drink in there you can get the arms to swing closed....

That's why you close the center piece of the cupholder trim after you deploy the cupholders. Many people think that's only cosmetic (hiding inner plastic parts), but it is actually functional.

Never put that together but you are likely right. I probably only close the middle part 25% of the time. Thanks!

Vote for OEM Porsche one here too. It's the only one that fits well.

I'll take a look. In a perfect world I would want to find one that didn't have a big Porsche badge on it. I just have a problem walking around at work with it. I'd feel like that Office Space boss...

I picked up an ultimate cup holder, and it works well with the yeti mugs I typically use. I keep it on the passenger side and it generally is out of the way but within reach. Used one on my old m5 as well.

Yup got mine in the classifieds section. Holds my morning protein smoothy perfectly on the passenger side.
