Talk to Grundy on the AV policy. That's who I have all my cars with. You can spec them as Regular use (wife's 997, GMC pickup and the widebody Cayenne Turbo S), Classic (914 & 928), or Exotic (RUF 997), and there is not a mileage limit or a bunch of knock-out criteria for the Regular use category, which is a category not even really offered by the other AV insurers, like Hagerty, Leland West, etc. I don't know if you need a vehicle in the other categories before they'll write a Regular use policy on a normal 997 though.

If you PM me, I can give you the name of my Grundy agent to pursue your policy needs. He has been great to work with. Grundy was the only company I found who would write an AV policy on the Cayenne, because it was under 10 years old and also an SUV.

After a few bottles of Scotch and a few nights to sleep it off I'd be interested to try out the new Supra and compare it to an M2 Competition. Dimensions look similar to the 997, first journalist impressions sound positive and it's something different. The C8 ME Corvette and NSX are going to be out of my price range. A 4th gen Viper coupe could be a fun car or a first gen Audi R8 for the gaudiness of it. Maybe it'll give me the kick in the butt to start a FFR Cobra build or give me a savings head start for an XK120.

Who am I kidding it'll be whatever race-ready 911 track car I can get my grubby hands on.

Hard to consider other sports car after a 911.

The 308 are cool cars, been helping a buddy with his lately. DIY level is not bad, some things are odd coming from German experience. Dealing with a dead fuel pump right now so have not had a chance to take it out for a spin.

Considered adding a Ferrari. Couldn't fit in any of them comfortably before the 458 (excluding the V12s). I still have no clue how Jeremy Clarkson dealt with his F355...

Talking to one dealer they mentioned the option of swapping out seats / lowering them ... which is apparently what all the NBA stars do.

I'll just stick with German / American cars instead.
