I reset mine on a 997 TT and RS. Its also useful for example if you have to change battery and battery is dead, it would have a seat belt warning, you can use this to reset it. The only thing it cannot do or I have not figured out is how to get a REV count. There is an option but it wont do a rev count on my RS.

Use the iCarsoft CR Plus and it works well for that and just a normal ODB scanner tool. It have live feedback on like 50 items. It read my high pressure fuel pump pressure, 1801 psi. Resets airbag light along with oil too. Not sure about the other resets as I wanted it for the oil reset.

I have used it to reset the "oil, service " light on my 997.1 , 987.1, 958
It also worked resetting my airbag light on my 958 when I switched out a steering wheel.
there are several youtube vids out there. Not always as intuitive as, but still fairly simple to figure out. With the reset service light it just takes a few steps because you need to make sure you enter in a new "service date". It's not just a simple reset button.

I love my Icarsoft. Have one for my wifes Jag and my Range Rover. The only thing I couldnt get it to do was reprogram the computer from a lift wing to a fixed wing. (swapped out the normal lid for a TT tail).

Used the icarsoft PORSH for my 997.2 to reset the service reminder after the oil change - no issues.

I have the NT510. Does everything for the Macan and for $79 each you can add as many models you wants. I have it for the Audi, BMW, and 2 Porsches. It will read codes on a 997.2 but won't reset the service on the 997.2. It will reset a Macan, though.

I have the icarsoft Por II. Used it to reset the service light on my 987.1, and also a "System Fault, Visit Workshop" or some such thing when I changed out my frunk actuator. Haven't used it for much else. Just updated the firmware yesterday. Owners manual leaves something to be desired. Probably easy to understand if you have used another similar device in the past but for me, I just fumble through the menus and not sure of 80% of what it is reporting.

Works pretty good. Reset the airbag light on the 997 and service light on the 991.

I do my own oil/filter changes and use it to reset the service reminder, and airbag light when I had to swap my battery. I have the iCarsoft POR-II version and it works great. Paid for itself on my first oil change with what the dealer would have charged to reset the code. Be patient if you want to upgrade the firmware in the unit because the instructions are not intuitive but once I figured it out it worked great. Money well spent in my book.

I need an iCarsoft for both a Porsche, BMW and a GMC tow vehicle. So I'm looking at a iCarsoft CR Plus (~$209 amazon) for its wide make / model capabilities. Then I see the E770 that seems to have similar read and maintenance capabilities for ~$100. What am I missing. Most of what I need is maintenance / oil resets. But at some point these cars will need more than that in capability. I can't figure out what the double $ difference in capabilities is.
