As listed in the link above on post no. 33 I believe, are the 997.2 production numbers. There were 2265 GTSs coupes built in 2011. You certainly have some rare options. But then, they are all pretty much custom built. What surprised me is how few C2S coupes were built that year, which I have - something like 800. I wonder if those stats are correct.

It's a beautiful and very nice, ie, expensive, build. But don't think of it in terms of rarity. Lot's of nice ones out there. Buy if you keep it stock, low miles and in good shape, it'll be really coveted one day down the road.

Different opinions on this. I've sold two 997's with high end after market wheels, one with a custom steering wheel and both with high quality after market exhausts. Got slightly more than average market value for both of them. I think it depends a lot on how you deviate from stock. Cheap wheels, cheap exhausts, obnoxious wings, weird looking side skirts and so on probably does affect the value negatively. So based on my own experience, quality after market parts in good taste without going overboard seems to maintain or even add value to enough buyers where I had no problems selling those cars in short order.

I was really surprised by the number of GTS produced in 2011, I don't know where they all went but it sure wasn't Canada. It seems like there is an order of magnitude more C2/4/S cars for sale compared to GTS cars. The three 2011 GT3 cars doesn't seem right.

I agree with the tasteful mods, when it comes time to sell the car if they don't want the GMG 130Rs, Fabspeed bypass, and black stone guards they will all be off the car in a matter of hours.

When I bought my 2012 in 2015 I could only find 4 for sale nationally including mine. Just by chance I happened upon the car on a road trip to Vancouver. Bought it in Portland and drive it home on the return trip. I’ve come across that 1300 number of C4GTS coupes produced but I’ve never been able to determine if it’s NA or worldwide. I’ve never seen another C4GTS on the road and maybe only 2 or 3 GTS’ on the road in the last few years.

Don’t plan on selling mine either, have no qualms about the BBS forged center lock wheels, eibach springs and the sharkwerks bypass lowering value though if I was going to sell.

That's the one that was for sale in NJ or long island right? I was talking to them about it but ultimately couldn't pull the trigger without seeing it in person. what made you pass on it?

Yup, that's the one. It was on Long Island. I really wanted (and still do) a rear wheel drive GTS. It was hard to justify the premium for this car over a C4S. I'm not sure I could tell the power difference on the street. I really want the wide body but in rear wheel drive, hence my search for a C2GTS.

That number and the few being quoted in this thread from the link posted above is a worldwide production number per Porsche 997 2004-2012: Porsche Excellence - The Essential Companion which sourced from PAG records.

YAY!

Except for, uh, one little rub. Well okay it's a rub that keeps coming up. See, every conversation about the car goes like this: "2012 Carrera 4 GTS." 'Ok. Carrera 4 S.' "No, Carrera 4 Gee Tee Ess. Not S. Gee Tee Ess." 'Doesn't exist.' "I assure you, it does." 'Our system says it doesn't.' "Here's the VIN." '911 unknown trim?' "Sure. Fine. Whatever."
Email my Porsche guy. 'GTS? Sweet.' "No, C4GTS." '... you got a cab?' "Nope." 'Oh, so PDK?' "Also a no." '... are you sure?' "Yep. Here's the VIN." '... huh.'
Seriously. Everybody I talk to, their systems all say: no such car exists. Except for PCNA. Who says "yep! And they ticked damn near every single option box except PTS and Burmester too!"

Is the C4GTS coupe really that rare, especially the manual?
Just got my copy of "Porsche 997, 2004 to 2012, The Essential Companion" book. Here is the total Carrera 4 GTS production for the year 2012:
Coupe, 436
Cab. 354

No break down for 6 sp. or PDK. I think you can safely assume there are fewer 6 sp than PDK. I would call that rare.

So, total production of 1321 for 11-12. But is that YOM or MY breakdown? If that's MY... holy hell, this thing istruly rare. The numbers I've heard bandied about fairly consistently is that the less than 10% of C4GTSes were manual across both years.

There are PRODUCTION YEAR.
Production year =/= Model year in this case.
Model Year definition is different throughout the world. So Production Year is most accurate and consistent across markets.
