Depends on how many miles per year you plan to drive it.

Sunday garage queen go for the low mi 09

driver miles matter less go for the newer car

like an oil thread lots of opinions

Having owned many P cars in my life I have never found two cars the same. One speaks to me more than others and I buy that one.

Miles on the 9A1 motors don't mean much. Which car speaks to you the most. That's what matters.

Well, that, and maintenance records, etc.

I would take the 09 for sure. It is right in the sweet spot for miles.

Aside from mileage, year and price there are other factors only you can decide :
Options, color, PDK or manual, condition, history.

Personally I would base my preference in order of condition, color, manual over PDK, coupe of topless, street driving over track car ....etc

I would go with the one that was abused less and maintained more.

Whatever car has the best PPI. This should include an Over rev report, Borescope and paint meter. This is considering both cars are same body style, color etc.

2011 as it had some improvements over 2009 (first model year).

The one with full leather and adaptive sport plus seats, assuming one of them has those, otherwise, the one with full leather.

This. And I would agree with others that posted above that one should be speaking to you more. Also, I dont think any two Porsches are typically even close in options unless we are talking about stripper cars with nothing on them. Typically you will find one with sport exhaust but not with SPASM, or one with full leather but not Adaptive Sport seats, etc.

The "sports" mode option, regardless if its PDK or manual is a much needed feature. I had mine installed based on a recommendation by Gunter of Fremont Porsche and the re-mapped throttle response changed the character of the car completely.

Notice he did say "everything being the same" but its apparently hard to just stay with that premise.
