991.2 steering wheel on 997.2???
Has anyone done this swap? I know I will have to purchase a new 991.2 airbag and a new 991.2 steering wheel. I really want a 991.2 steering wheel with multifunction controls. If this doesn't work I'm just going to do a 997.2 multifunction wheel.

You probably need the 997.2 control module.

OP you should already have the 997.2 module so you would just a little bit of PIWIS coding and thats about it + the module from the guy on the FB group - many ppl here have bought and and are running the 991.2 wheel with MF on the 991.1/997.2/997.1 with all buttons fully functional

Thanks for all of the input guys. Suncoast is the way to go if you want a stock 991.2 MF Steering wheel.
Sport wheel in leather multi-function $995
991.2 Airbag (Leather) $1450
GPS Adapter from Yuan Li $299
So, all in and done, approximately $2744 + about 2 hours of diy time. Of course, I will still have to pay to have it programmed since I didn't have multi-function to begin with. I'm pretty sure that Stahl Motorsports in WPB has a PIWIS and I would much rather have them give it a try than Braman Porsche. I may also try Champion Porsche in Coconut Creek, they seem to be much more in tune with mods than Braman.

don't forget when selling your current airbag + wheel that will also reduce your total cost of the upgrade as well.
if you are buying absolutely brand new wheel + parts then yes it would get very very expensive.

My question - will the heating function on a 991.2 with that capability work on my car with your STMV1-H adaptor? (I also would look to activate the multi-function controls - which I understand would be enabled in software setup.)
Thank you!

I have a 997.2 with the original heated steering wheel - no multi-function. It is a PDK car.
My question - will the heating function on a 991.2 with that capability work on my car with your STMV1-H adaptor? (I also would look to activate the multi-function controls - which I understand would be enabled in software setup.)

MF can enable by PIWIS like this
