I have only spent about 5 days there earlier this year for job interview, but my wife and I quite liked it. We feel like it really fits the bill for us. Weather is spot on (never too hot or cold, no humidity), access to outdoors is amazing (way better than CO where we were originally going to move, Tahoe 30 minutes away, mountain biking and hiking everywhere), no taxes which is huge for our practices, good income:cost of living, access to tracks is good (a few within 3 hours and I think 8-9 within 8 hours), and it's well situated to access all of the cities and our friends who live around the west part of the US. Not to mention we're both excited about our jobs, both have great income potential.
My guess is that you and your wife will really enjoy the area.

Only one four cylinder...
Only one non-911...
Maybe I'm not the odd-man-out!
I think the early 911's share more styling and even driving DNA with my Turbo then they do with the 356 that is much closer in age...
