pfbz, yes yellow laminex film from amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Lamin-x-1-612Y-Universal-Film-Cover/dp/B006347Q8Q/ref=b2b_gw_d_bia_3/131-6183624-0898441?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B006347Q8Q&pd_rd_r=38bb78a1-78eb-46f2-bb2a-b8f53b4195e9&pd_rd_w=XLp13&pd_rd_wg=zpOJU&pf_rd_p=5f450e0f-3d32-4ab7-901f-372f7b576e8a&pf_rd_r=KY78EV21BHNE1CFY32VD&psc=1&refRID=18FGP7JY3PCQW5YJ3MDE https://www.amazon.com/Lamin-x-1-612Y-Universal-Film-Cover/dp/B006347Q8Q/ref=b2b_gw_d_bia_3/131-6183624-0898441?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B006347Q8Q&pd_rd_r=38bb78a1-78eb-46f2-bb2a-b8f53b4195e9&pd_rd_w=XLp13&pd_rd_wg=zpOJU&pf_rd_p=5f450e0f-3d32-4ab7-901f-372f7b576e8a&pf_rd_r=KY78EV21BHNE1CFY32VD&psc=1&refRID=18FGP7JY3PCQW5YJ3MDE
.

this pic is of the first attempt which was ok, I initially used some jdm yellow tint which was too light to my liking so I subsequently found the laminex film which was slightly thicker and has a darker yellow tint. I used plastic tape to make a reverse template directly off the headlight by placing the tape around the fog light area and placing a piece of paper and using a lead pencil to ghost trace the raised area of the plastic tape. (note on using the plastic tape: I had to use a succsesive straight pieces around the slightly raised fog light area. wasn't able to simply use one piece aroung the raised area.) Tip: I had to trim the yellow film apporx 1/4" wider than the template to prevent white light bleed around the perimeter. Ideal to find someone that has a cnc die cut that can vector a template and die cut them... let's see some fried eggs sunny side up!

I like it! But my first thought was damn, must be hard to cut out and place perfectly sized and shaped ellipses!

Practice makes perfect. 😂 actually it’s quite simple just takes some patience and some “krafting”.

yeah sure, no problem I can trim a pair for you. I think I still have the template around. what would be ideal is finding someone that can cut stickers an have them cut by cnc graphics.

I was going to suggest if you could figure out a cheap way to mass produce you probably sell quite few of them. Easy to ship too, just put them in an envelope.
