The Prestige Thread - Finest 996TT Market Finds

My advice would be to avoid BaT due to their 5% fee from the buyer and the fact that the pricing can get out of hand quickly with multiple bidders. I found mine on here in the Marketplace. PCarmarket website has a deal tank section that is more for fixed pricing/offers. I am not sure about fees for deal tank listings. I looked conventionally such as Autotrader but the prices were high and most indy dealers/sellers were clueless.

has many issues but Speed Yellow may trump them all and do $80K+
Stranger things have happened on BaT

Modded (which I like but most don't and hurts value), "high" miles, has a few issues like heater doesn't work and no 2nd gear repair documentation for a pre-2003, interior leather is pretty scuffed up in various places, no paint meter readings which BaT people obsess with, and appears to be on original radiators. I expect it to be near $60k with fees at finish due to those items.

We will see, the last couple went in the 60s with far less miles. Honestly I'd love to own this car and "restore" it, but I need to unload a couple cars before I add another 996TT in.

Bro those were all automatics (25%+ penalty). The last Speed Yellow manual coupe sold on BaT for over $80K w/fee, and that was WITH a disclosed massive RMS oil leak and almost as many miles
This one may likely recalibrate your notion of Speed Yellow
(in spite of broken HVAC and laundry list mods)

How can an automatic and a manual do the same number?? Automatics take at least a 25% penalty against 3-pedal Turbos. No exceptions. I could see a bad Carfax or high mileage (100K+) mitigating, but perfect Carfax here, and 85K driver-miles shouldn’t discourage serious bidders on a Mezger; especially in Speed Yellow!
My O/U is $80K, and I’ll state unequivocally it won’t do sixties; reserve alone will see to that
End of day its an early-Mezger in Speed Yellow manual coupe. Alpha alpha 911 Turbo. The one to have. The one to keep. And why they’re vanishing fast right before our eyes from listings and auctions now worldwide

Yes, Pastel Yellow was also available standard on 996 Carrera, and PTS on Turbo. Not particularly flattering on 996 IMHO, but unicorn rare nonetheless; somehow works better on Cab than Coupe but YMMV
Pastel was magnificent on 993 Turbo. Best Gen & model for that color

Safe to say the market has changed.
