Hey, that's not a bad idea for a new username - I may just use that!

Is it me or many of the 996 turbo deals are gone or beat to crap. Not seeing as much middle ground, more like great examples pulling top dollar and then trashed cars.

I might be looking in the wrong places tho :-p

As time goes on the nicer cars will be harder to find, most are abused and put away wet. When I was looking almost every car was in average to poor condition even when listed as above average. Keep looking the right car will come around. Looking for my next car = its hard to find a nice low mileage stock example and I'm looking at quite a few different years/brands etc.

http://autoquid.com/car-detail/911/P...795954150.html Listed elsewhere for low price= something fishy. If a real add worth the 48k all day.

Strangely enough the above car was for sale in Texas in November for 27,800. Something seems very odd here.

It's still prime buying season. Inventory doesn't sit around long unless it's abused or overpriced (which are the "top dollar" and "trashed" cars you are finding now). Watch what happens after Labor Day. Every spring you see a host of "look, our cars are going up in price" posts. The market will slow down later in the summer. Then, after Labor Day, it will turn into a buyer's market until just after the New Year. The market will then begin to get better, by March it will be in bloom until late summer. Happens every year with pretty much every model of car (even more so with convertibles), with the exception of 4x4/AWD SUVs (the market doesn't fluctuate too much with them because there are buyers in the winter also, as opposed to sports car buyers).

Bottom line - if you are a seller, get your car on the market right now - don't wait.
If you are a buyer, don't be in a hurry. Time is on your side. Resist the urge to buy until after Labor Day.

"Never raced", "owned by an attorney"

LOL

Car is also supposedly wrapped lime green at the moment but only one exterior pic of it without the wrap.

If you read the ad, it states that the picture of the black vehicle is a representation to show what the car would look like without the wrap. It isnt the car for sale.

Cheers

At least it has a few more pictures now, the CL ad that has been showing up locally for months now has been quite limited in that regard.

Its like all the bs ads on craigslist, most are fishing for e-mail addresses but some do take money from the desperate I wanna believe there is a free lunch crowd, do they deserve it for being that gullible?
