Was it a special order car? I'm not complaining about the seats, as I am confused as I thought all Turbo S spec had sport seats STANDARD.

Heavily modded car with a partial repaint and a non-functional spoiler looking strong with 5 days to go.

No idea, I was just opining that the supple leather was ordered as an option on this high spec car. It's all conjecture...but unless someone changed the seats out it makes sense, esp. if the option code for supple leather is on the build sticker.

That's already at $40K with auction fees. With over 60K miles, a chunk torn out of the rear bumper and cut fender liners to fit bigger wheels, that's definitely strong money.

I am skeptical that a car is meticulously maintained if the answer to a broken rear spoiler is to set it in a fixed position. That being said, there is a lot right with that car, plus seller acknowledged that he would have gone with the Rennkit if he were keeping it. Based on the maintenance claimed, it appears that he got fed up with pumping $$$ into the car. Might be a good deal because of the recent maintenance and the purists won't give this one a second nod, plus there have been a plethora of 996TTs on BaT in the past couple of weeks. And Speed Yellow is a polarizing color (one of my favorites, but many wouldn't consider it). It will be interesting to watch.

Man, what is it with all of the 996TTs on KSL.com? Isn't that just like a local TV/Radio station for sale board? There have been 3 nice ones listed at reasonable prices that you have posted in the last couple of weeks. Impressive.

Yea, K"SeLL" is a tv station with free advertising. Makes CL a second choice for classifieds around here. I agree, been some good deals for sure. That said, they do move very quickly. I tried to buy 801Z06's car off KSL for $29k last fall. That's what got me fixated on finding a 6TT. No regrets! There's also a few tips that have been at dealers for a while. If anyone is looking, I can forward that info, or search KSeLL.

Not a "prestige" car but it sold for a decent price.

More than decent I would say. No disrespect, but if that's a $47.5k car then mine should have gone deep in the sixties.

Its crazy, $50K car after auction fees. Prices on the 996tt are starting to get real close to the 997tt. Honestly they're already there with these low mile ones selling in the $70k range.

Rick - I agree. I'm still surprised your car didn't go a bit higher...

I think it brought that money because of the color.
