I'm in the market for another house and have found the deals go quick and get flipped with some in my opinion questionable work. That car is still bs in my opinion.

It's a Tip, but mileage is not very high. I'd love to have a TTS cab in this color with manual shift. Only problem, something would have to go.

ha whats that look like? my family had to go into hiding after the manson murders happened. they didn't drive porsches as i recall lol. the manson family i mean. we were into "jags" ha.

they were an odd bunch and everyone at the time in la's music scene were deathly afraid of them, the manson family. the next generation of "them" was a group and that most closely resembled their "lifestyle" was an all girl "group" known as the "gto's" and they were signed by frank zappa. they didn't have a car between them. was a very strange time. late 60's laurel canyon.

but as I've shared with james here more than a few times, that oddly enough my mentor as a child, was the record producer that recorded janis joplin's song in which one of the verses she moaned:

"oh lord, wont ya buy me a mercedes benz, my friends all drive porsche's, i must make amends, worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends, so lord, won't ya buy me, a mercedes benz"

..and the punch line is he ordered in 1966 after the doors "light my fire" was a massive global hit record, from porsche directly what had to be one of the very first 911 S that came right from the factory in this incredible purple color and i took as a very young child many, many rides in that car to a recording studio, while he was recording the doors and all manner of other very strange yet world famous rock bands of the 60's.

that's what they all did, have a hit record, and immediately go buy a porsche and a sailboat ( that was the byrds and steven stills and crosby though mostly..). the byrds, buffalo springfield, mamas and papa's, you name it. they all went to buy porsche's, hence janis moaning about it on one of her early records. but now i think back on it david crosby simply put a porsche motor in his vw bus ( true ) it was the fastest vw bus around, and it smelled like really good pot lol.

though janis didn't live long enough to have "late" records! she and porsche are forever immortalized together, in that moanful refrain.
