Thank you for the all the PM's. Wanted to update everybody on progress. I have 10 beta testers working with me on installation and testing. We are getting some road time now. They are all a fine group to work with, one as far away as Switzerland! Some great suggestions have been adopted to improve functionality. We are working to solve the microswitch logic now. I hope to wrap up the patent work this week and launch very soon.

Default Extremely Interested...

I knew that this day will come, I have an 01 so I guess after 14 years later is about time...

I noticed some leaks in my wing hydraulics a couple of months ago, and this week I noticed that in the mornings the wing would fully come up, and the console would complain about Spoiler Malfunction. But during lunch time after it got a little warmer, the warning would not appear.... (consistent for 3 days)

I'm also debating in doing a 997 GT2 style rear deck lid for the 996, I believe Wicked Mortorsport out of L.A. makes one and it's on their website. And eventually they also have a 997 GT2 front bumper that also fits in a 996. Any thoughts on those?

Any input is welcome !!!!

Thanks !!!

hey guys, I feel your pain! I now have 10 beta testers and 3 early adopters that have bought kits, most of them now installed. Overwhelmingly, the response has been extremely positive. Made a few minor improvements thanks to the great feedback from the "crew". I am quite close to launch, hoping in a few weeks, with the business set up and patent ready to file.

we are all rooting for success of this project! stellar! i cant wait to sell my fixed wing ebay kit lol. not that anyone would want it.. after going electric

but i think i still hold some kind of record for spoiler re-bleed continued functionality nearly 5 years

Really looking forward to the release! Bought my car last summer and it has a fixed wing kit installed, I've grown a bit frustrated with it not operating properly and constantly being up but didn't want to spend the money replacing a faulty system.

Hopefully the details are worked out soon, I'd love to see my spoiler moving up and down in the rearview!

Subb'ed. Bought the car with the rear hydraulics already shot and never seemed prudent to spend big coin repairing it when it was just prone to fail all over again. Seems like an awesome concept and product. Would be nice to have a fully functioning car once again.

Again, thanks for all the posts and PMs and emails. Made significant progress on electronics to fool the ECU, or put another way, microswitch closure bypass. That bugger is complicated. I am starting to believe the ECU learns how long it takes to run the Rams up and down and adjusts the spoiler warning accordingly. My goal is to get a miniature customized circuit board made up. On the hunt for someone with that background to help me. Mechanical tweaks have been done for a while and seem to be robust based on beta tester feedback.

Sorry I can't help you with the circuit board but when you get things all sorted out put me on the list as a customer. My wing is starting to fail.

It is a big day! The provisional patent application is now filed with the USPTO! I'm closing in on launch of the product!

Here is what the 4" eRam looks like from the side:
...and the back:

(note that factory is 2.4") I also have 3" and 2" kits that will soon be on my website for sale.

I want to thank the 11 beta testers for their help in getting things this far along.

outstanding dave, really. you are to be commended!

i cant wait to see one in action. as for me, i am doing another re-bleed five years on! as i have recently developed a sluggish driver side ram, and because i've caught it early enough, my chance at saving it is good and fully operational recovery is hoped for again

but i am no less interested in replacing it with one the eliminates that gdamn pentosin. talk about porsche's "all purpose" corrosive! sheesh

but again, nice work dave!!

Fantastic, I love the more mechanical sound of it too.
