It looks like he bought the silver painted version which is reflective compared to the black version in pictures. Here's mine: (I'm getting a new aero lip and dive planes painted next week)

Made up some aluminum bushings for the 997 shifter. Nothing like $180 savings over the GT3 version, more beer money

Thanks! The Octogenarian I bought it from weighed 100lbs wet, and treated it like a museum piece. So I got lucky. My fat *** will certainly change that over the years.

switched out the electrical frunk latch mechanism and adjusted the latch so that the frunk opens and closes as it should. when the electrical component/switch gets hot it will cease to operate, will just "click". so had to re-route the emergency release catch up thru the front bumper to open. was a royal pita.

found a used 986/996 part on ebay for 35. new was 120. took 20 minutes to install. i love dead boxters, have a few of their parts

replaced my rear lugs with german tuv certified dacromet coated ( wtf??!) steel lugs that i am told i will never be able to snap under any conditions as has been my dilemma for the better part of two years since converting to rwd with the wavetrac. what a relief.

I ended up using this Meguiar's G10916 Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner & Conditioner

Here is the link:
Amazon.com: Meguiar's G10916 Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner & Conditioner - 15.2 oz.: Automotive Amazon.com: Meguiar's G10916 Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner & Conditioner - 15.2 oz.: Automotive

From what i read online, people like it. But don't use it on your dash/doors/pillars. It does soften the leather, and those parts are supposed to be dry and stiff.

Also, I sprayed directly on the seats, next time I might just spray on a cloth then use that to wipe the seats, spraying directly on the seats can get on to other stuff and just end up having to do more cleaning.

Ordered spacers, 7mm front and 15mm rear. 7 mm spacers are hub centric. I have seen posts about spacers and that it´s pretty much "impossible" to find 7 mm hub centric spacers but I did. Will post pics as soon as I get them.
