decided to film the cold start exhaust note on my GT2 today, 200 cell sport cats and straight pipes...still debating if I want to keep this setup long-term or go back to my wonderful Milltek exhaust..

Sounds good not great I have heard Milltek and believe its smoother and throatier. Curious why some people hide tag during photos?

'straight' pipes are sweet at WOT, Milltek more enjoyable while cruising...on a 'stock' TT the Milltek is definitely the way to go, but on my GT2 with less sound insulation, squeely track brake pads, harder ride, Clubsport seats etc., both systems are 'fitting' to the car...will see what I go with ultimately.

butt-dyno says same power...

most hide plates/tags for privacy...pretty easy to track a car/owner down with it, and it's a crazy world out there...

here's what my Milltek sounded like...

Like much better but see your point about the straight pipes fitting the overall feel of your car= have owned cars with everything purely functional/performance. I live around redneck hillbillies that I for the most part cant stand so anyone looking me up would be an improvement lol.

I never understood that either. I know that people are worried because the Internet is essentially a public place. However, these same people are driving the same cars in public places every day with the tags exposed on the car. What's the difference from seeing the car online vs in person?

I think that the guys who do that are unclear on the concept.

However, if you post that you did 120 mph in a 65 zone, and then have a picture with your plates visible, that's not a smart move.

I think the origin of the habit of blurring the license plates comes from when the poster writes something legally incriminating.

the difference is some folks talk **** in here and folks that drive their cars don't. it isn't as if the ip address isn't sufficient for anyone to figure out "whois", but why help the process by posting a personal plate?

I'm just an old fashioned person if any one wants me or has something to say etc I'm easy to find lol. People do most ignorant things out of jealousy and unhappiness with themselves. I work hard and save my money two things that elude most people and has always caused animosity.

That's a good point, years ago my buddy at the post office could do it and find addresses by phone numbers= he did these things because of cheating girlfriend lol.

pretty easy here...not sure USA(but I imagine it's even easier)
Go to MTO(our DMV) with VIN or plate('tag') number... $20 later you have a full report... with VIN # there's no questions, with plate number they might ask a couple questions...or if you know someone with access to info...

Guess same reasons why Google Maps or similar blocks plate numbers, privacy at a simple level..
