Just for comparison, 996 Turbo with upgraded 350mm rotors (stock calipers) vs. 959 Rallye. And interesting observation on the axle center... Some of that is probably droop with much softer springs.

$20k or so should do it....

A $30K donor and $30K build might yield a 959 homage at 1/100th the cost of the real thing?

The gears are turning, I meant a $20k donor car because, if you're going to do this right, it will not have a happy life...

Gmax rs tires.
dont feel like shelling out 6 or 7 hungie for rubber when the holidays are coming up. Ridiculously easy to break the tail loose with a quick steer and just a little extra throttle.

i still have tread on the falkens but im saving that tread for ax definitely wont be able to do it on these.

Meh. I don't get the "safari" 911's, I think that's just ruining a nice 911. If you want to drive off road there are far better vehicles for it that don't require infusions of metric cash and screwing up a 911 in the process.

Safari 911s are for off-road rallying/racing.There aren't many other vehicle that can do it as well as they can. A cheap G Series or NA 996 is perfect for it.

Spacers are installed between the top spring mount and the top hat of the strut assembly. Then adjustable LCAs and trailing arms are shimmed/adjusted to bring the suspension geometry back into normal parameters.

If you have it done to an air-cooled car there are ready made kits that are bolt on.

Um, really? Most of these are built and driven exclusively on the street. Those that actually do rally them a jeep/truck/utv/side by side will all do better than a 911 off road.

So the suspension, although longer stroke, is physically lowered, thereby raising the body?
