In that case, consider me a dip**** as well. Did you not read my post in this thread?

I have no interest in a forum which requires silly post-count games in order to start an ad which is in the interest of the 6speedonline community. One's post count is, at best, an indicator of how much he likes to talk.

OK
BUT, there is a lot of good info there.....did I mention Protomotive is over there now??....Legendary tuner...Great info on tuning DIY`s etc. Now no forum is without faults, mind you, but you may just be too sensitive to go over to 6speed if you`re bugged about all the dick wagging! Like I said gentlemen, if you`re interested in your Porsche BOTH sites are a must

6Speed (member since 2003) and Rennlist are two very different animals (both GREAT). Here if you post about a 600HP 996TT people ask why (because stock is fast enough) and tell you to get driving lessons first. On 6Speed they ask you why you stopped at only 600HP.

The 100 post minimum in the For Sale section is a great thing. It has one of the most active/best for sale sections anywhere. The place was turning into E-Bay. Sign up and start selling. Granted, using the "Smiles" as your core method to achieve the 100 post count is not right either. Here you have to pay to sell. So how is that better?

The worst thing they did over at 6Speed was put in the Rep points. It has caused nothing but stupid posting and created a fraternity of guys who pull each others chains all day.

Kill posts, dyno queens, time slips, bench racing, whatever. It is all about Porsches and that is fine in my book!!!!

I happen to like both sites but prefer 6speed. Much more active site for 996 tt's than this one. Also this group over here talks about how you can't use the 300 hp of a stock 996???? Different strokes for different strokes, but I think they are both good sites.

i think they just didn't set up their forum right... while their layout is nice, graphically, I don't think they are very technical over there (the webmasters).. sure their flash is great but a template style 6speed skin was on there for months before it was finally fixed.

It's either the above or they just don't like the new guys who sign up

Both sites are good, in different ways. 6 speed is a lot of bling, and 14 yr olds on their Dad's computer, no doubt. But there are some good contributers and it can be very entertaining at times, esp when the exhaust guys go at eachother. The FS section is phenominal, better than ebay, I've sold a ton of stuff there( and bought some as well).

Wow. I thought I was crazy and thought I was the only one that went through the trouble.

Just reading all the feedback makes me feel better.

Took me several weeks and never could get a response from anyone over there.

1. amazing how you must go to one board to get the attention of the other .....
2. even more amazing how people want to belong to a club that wont accept them ....

Hmm...I've had the same issue, but when I try to email the site owner, the mail gets bounced back as undeliverable. Any mods I could email to see if I can get signed up?

two totally different sites. both containing a lot of useful information. I tend to post more on 6speed, but am on rennlist just as much.

registering was a problem for me too. took about a week. sent emails, etc. no response. don't expect a response... that is unless you have the administrator's actual email. haha
