We offer a flash installed, (no ECU removal or de-soldering necessary) performance program for the Turbo S. The program is fully switchable and ultimately adjustable, with our optional SPS select switches, to tailor the programming to future modifications as well as other conditions such as environmental or fueling. Below is a graph of our Stage-1 file on a stock 996 TT (non-S). The S file has a very similar curve and results in a peak number around 510HP.

I will be in Cincinnati on Thursday training a new dealer. If it's convenient and you'd like to come by, I can flash your car on site. Please feel free to contact me if Cincinnati is close enough for you and you'd like to perhaps take a free trial of our software.

You could expect to see results similar to the Turbo S.

Mike - The total cost was $600?

After reading your post and looking I see that thereis alocal distributor 5 minutes from me.

Why do you think this is only $600 when it seems like everyone else is charging $2000?

Did they install something else into your ECU or did they "flash" it?

Just want your help to insure I make the right decisions for myself.
Thanks

I believe that would be wheels like most dynos. It is not a chasis dyno. Reported HP from most manufacturers is at the crank.

They actually take the chip out and program it , from my understanding is that it's not that aggressive of a tune (you can fool me) i definitely can feel the difference. From what I heard the 2k tune is thru the OBD port easier to do easier to upgrade etc. Upsolute will upgrade what they do when needed but they will have to take the ECU out and the chip out, a little inconvenient. I think it is well worth the money for what I want, I don't track the car and I can use the money for other things.

Desoldering the chip from the motherboard is not a viable option when there are better options available. There isn't a week that doesn't go by when I get emails and calls from customers with PSM/ABS issues and CEL's with this programming.

Spending a little over a grand extra for a investment in programming/tuning package and a Tuner that you can call should be considered. If I was given a dollar for everytime I heard owners tell me that they will be satisfied with there 1bar upgrade, well you know the story. Most owners look for upgrade paths within 6months and 1 year of ownership. With my tuning I can turn around and offer the customer there stock programming, performance programming and even at a later date add race gas programming. One can also request track programming, or reduced performance programs for bad weather trackdays.

Desoldering chips in this era is obsolete... why in the world would someone risk a computer when all can be done via the existing diag port???
