The GT2 and GT3 pressure plate are the same part and the GT2 clutch disc would be more appropriate for your turbo. If you "upgrade" to the 964RS LWF then you will also need a spring-dampened (aftermarket) clutch disc.

If you have a uprated engine neither will last. I strongly recommend the RS lightweight flywheel coupled with the Sachs race pressure plate, with the newer GT3RS clutch disk.. I have this system in stock...

I would also suggest Kevin's clutch, perfect drivability, quick revving, built to last.
I drove Dr. Tom's (above) and it drives like stocker. I am **** about this drivabilty thing
because I put a "racing clutch" in my 993TT and hated every launch.

I think it is VERY important for all to understand the set up I mentioned and Kevin has is a very streetable "normal" feeling clutch, it is not an on off race clutch.
I strongly feel anyone in the need for a clutch replacement make this upgrade to the car.
Not to mention the increased performance!

How is the noise with the RS lightweight flywheel and the Sachs? Is it louder than stock?

you must also understand that the clutch at idle is audible. Makes a chattering noise that to me adds to the beautiful sounds coming from this awesome car!! Very racey and mechanical sounding. But yes it does make noise.

Is it just at idle or typical Lightweight flywheel "tin can full of bolts" sound during low rpm take offs? Is this setup any different noise wise than any other non-dampened flywheel setup?

Mine has the "tin can full of bolts" sound during low rpm take offs. I can even hear it in some rare instances (depending on load) at higher rpms

The clutch setup that I sell, has silky smooth operation.. However, you will get the noise at idle.. Some cars are worse than others. BUT you will get the noise. You can't have the lightweight flywheel with awesome throttle "blip" feel any other way.. You can but then you pay $4,500 for a carbon/carbon clutch setup..

I went with Kevin's GT3-RS clutch setup, and couldn't be happier. There is some chatter at idle, especially if you're running the a/c compressor. I also have some light chatter during low rpm starts in 1st gear. IMO this setup is very streetable. The LWFW was exactly what I was looking for during downshifting throttle blips. It truly is "silky smooth".
