if I do not plan on selling my old parts, is there any reason why I should hold on to the springs and struts coming off the car?

Apologies for the thread necro, but I was wondering how you went with your Air Cups @kamlung ?

I've recently purchased a lovely and slightly lowered 996 Turbo, but my driveway (and other ramps) are absolutely doing my head in haha. It's even running the C4S front lip and I'm having issues, so definitely interested in a FAL solution, and the Air Cups look like a great value option.

I love the way the car feels with the FEAL 441+ with swift springs and radial bearing upgrade. Adjustability is also great. They feel equal or better than the Ohlins I had on my carrera. Highly recommended. Super nice with the radia bearing upgrade. Doesn't make any sounds when you turn the wheel. Car handles amazing. Obviously it's important to get the car corner balanced.

sorry for the delayed response. i'm currently down under on holidays with the family so don't check in much.

my progress with the Aircups was delayed this year due to a newborn. it took me a few months to get them installed and the car back on the ground to an alignment before I had to put it away for the winter and leave on this vacation. needless to say, i didn't get to hook up the air compressor to the cups yet. all the coilovers and cups are installed, i just need to run the lines and do the electrical for the controller and it should be done. i am trying to work on it this winter after i get back, but we will see where life goes. but i def would recommend, the quality of the units were great...

Default Comfort and Performance or Road Racing

I'm looking at picking up a set of the 441+ coilovers, I see when ordering they have an option between a Comfort & Performance and Road Racing valving.

Anyone here have the Road Racing setup? Would you say it's much harsher ride than stock?

Those with the Comfort & Performance setup do you feel it's a big enough jump in performance for street/canyon use with the occasional HPDE mixed in?

I mostly use my car as a weekend cruiser through the canyons with the plan of some road trips thrown in here and there. Would like to also participate in a few HPDE down the road as well.

I have the max track setup for the 441+ with the stiffer springs and everything. It's stiff.... For sure making some comfort sacrifice for handling. Great on track. It's up to you, always some tradeoff. If you go with the adjustable outer canisters with the 442 version you can dial in more comfort with the same setup.

I had a custom spring rate set from Ceika on 996tt with nose-lift aircups installed. The setup was awesome and stupid cheap. Lowest 996 in town and still could get into most underground parkings. Did about 15kkm on it - no issues at all. Entry level Ohlins are also not made by a contractor in Japan, not by Ohlins - a good thing to keep in mind when you compare the prices.
