Yea, I am that guy. I am disappointed that Feal would say that when Mike Monterone from Feal told me that "the L/R stamping is likely incorrect from side to side. ". Below is the full email response from Feal:
I also requested that they contact others who may have received improperly made parts. It seems that not only did that not happen, but they denied the problem when asked.
It is how you deal with problems that are often more telling than anything else.

Note: He was incorrect that swapping the entire assembly would work as the AWD has an asymmetric angled spacer. The left/right top mount needs to be swapped on their respective assemblies.

That being said, the dampers and standard 441 spring rates work well for the car and quality, thus far, seems good.

Hi Ed,

Apologies for the delay in response! My engineer had the chance to review your photos and believes that the L/R stamping is likely incorrect from side to side. He believes that if the shocks are swapped from left to right and clocked correctly then everything should line up correctly and resolve the caster issue you have run into. Sorry about the confusion in the parts and thank you for your continued patience in the matter.

Thanks,

Mike Monterone

No, they're just using cheap universal top mounts. Look at the Elephant mounts.

Someone here I think cut their strut mounts to allow adjustment in the car. I looked at it and decided against that lol.

Thanks for chiming in here Mike!
For a daily driven 99% street car do you think it's worth it to upgrade to the Swift springs (441+) or are the Feal springs on the 441 adequate?

Probably not worth it unless you are going with stiffer springs with custom valving.

Was looking to go with Bilstein B8 and H & R springs but after reading the reviews on the Feals I decided to try them out. I do not track my car and this would be for street use. I am planning on getting the standard 441 with upgraded radial bearings. Do I need to purchase anything else? I am not doing the install and want to make sure I purchase everything needed to do the front and rear.

Thanks in advance.

If going low you may need rear toe arms to get the alignment into spec.

Not going much lower than stock. I won't need any bearing plates or strut mounts? Sorry total newbie here, was told I need these with the B8 setup. Trying to make sure I order everything to give my mechanic to install.

Curious to the purpose of bump stops and if I should add them to the order? Will I need the extended damping adjuster?

No to other stuff, yes to the extenders.

You only need the extenders if you were going to be tweaking the ride quality often. When I installed my Feals I fiddled around with the adjustments for about a week and then found the settings I like and haven't touched them since. It's been almost a year.

finally getting to installing the front... what's the consensus on the install? remove the 6 allen bolts where the axle bolts to the diff (do i need to remove the under plastics to get to this?) or remove the axle nut at the hub?

You can pull the suspension down until it fits in outside the fender and then you slip it back under the fender. Careful not to mess up the lip of your fender, put some tape on there for safety.

how did you angle the knuckle? i'm assuming you had to disconnect either side of the axle.. is it easier to go from the diff side or the axle nut?

i have enough of the strut unbolted from the top but i can't articulate it enough to get the angle to get it out of the fender. right now the axle is still connected and the lower ball joint is almost impossible to fit a separator on... everything else is disconnected (caliper, tie rod, forward arm)

thanks for the help...

You may need to pop those bolts off the axle to get the articulation to install. I don't remember if I did. Just remember to push it back in to snap back into place in the diff.
