+1 for the Feal. Huge improvement over the factory for comfort and performance.

Wow im considering these over going with a set of Ohlins or MCS. I do about 3 track days a year and the car is mostly used for road trips and canyon carving. The 441+ with swift springs look good. What exactly is the major difference between an expensive high end damper like MCS and something like these FEAL? They use the same Swift Springs and comparing both 1 way shocks they seam to have the same characteristics but the price difference is huge. Can any one explain the actual differences?

The more expensive coilovers utilize higher quality components and usually have a slightly more sophisticated design and valving. That said the cheaper products like FEAL are still a perfect choice for mostly street driven cars with light track use and are astronomically better the stock setup.

These are built from Taiwanese parts from a company called BC. Taiwan isn't a communist hellscape like China so they are actually pretty good quality. I'm sure the Ohlins are a nicer setup but I find that my FEAL setup is more than adequate. So far so good.

Hi Bernard, Glad to hear you are enjoying your 441's! Just want to break a misconception in that our parts are not machined or supplied from BC. It's no secret we source parts from the USA, Taiwan, and Japan to assemble in house in California but we are not affiliated with BC in any way and do not buy any of their parts.

Very cool, It seams to be that many are happy with the Feal Setup on the 996 Turbo. Im probably going to go with a the 441+. As a suspension novice who's only had ohlins Im trying to find out what the best path for me is. This looks to. cover my needs.

Thanks for clarifying. I think I may have read that on one of the Subaru forums when I was deep diving about the coilovers.

I am happy with the performance of the feals. What I am not happy with is how the top hats seem to be off center so adjustment is very, if not impossible to adjust. I did read on the forum where one guy got some that were assembled with the right and left top hats switched. I called feal but they assured me that was not the case and that if I wanted access to make alignment adjustments I should open up the shock tower with a saw. I am not going to do that but thought anyone looking for suspension should be aware of that. I have no idea if another manufacturer would be better or worse.

You just lower them off of the perch and adjust from there. It's impossible for the top hats to be switched because the lower shocks are the same so the one that has the right top hat is the right shock and the one with the left top hat is the left shock.

Pretty much all adjustable top plates require you to drop the shock to access the camber adjustment. It's just a design limitation of the car.

Thanks for the help, I'm surprised my shop did not know to do that.

Subaru guys seem to think any brand using parts from Asia all buy from BC. According to them it's all BC with different colors, haha. Not sure how that started but I've been combating that for the entirety of my 5+ years at Feal.

This. It's a bummer but it is what it is. You can either drop the shock to adjust or hole saw the chassis.

I'd say our standard 441's compare directly to the performance of an Ohlins Road and Track style shock. We've done quite a bit of testing on our own 996 and feel like we have nailed a great formula for the car. I've seen quite a bit of positive buzz online about the 996 offerings in specific and I'm very confident you would be satisfied with what we have to offer!

Just ordered a set... standard 441's with the bearing plates. Excited to see how they are (gotta be better than the original struts, which are still in the car)
