Default WTB: (996 GT3) Upper Brake Duct Air Deflectors

Factory Part Numbers:
996 575 232 30
996 575 231 30

These are the curved plastic bits that clip to the radiator lines and feed air to the rotors. These are not the lower plastic ducts that snap to the lower suspension arm.

Thanks. Those are the same part numbers I have. I was hoping someone on the forum had upgraded their brake duct's with some upgrades and just had the originals lying around. Seems like it's been quiet otherwise. Still hoping before contacting any dealerships.

I just found that my upper brake duct / air deflector is missing on the passenger side. Any idea how much that piece of plastic is gonna cost me?!

My '14 GT3 was missing the drives side one. Sunset Porsche had the best price for one - they discount and are in Beaverton oregon so no sales tax

The 996GT3 ones are almost $150 each if I recall. The 997GT3 ones are about $20 each. Go figure.

powdrhound: I am not talking about the lower brake ducts, though. I think the $20 997 brake duct that you are talking about is the low duct that mounts on the LCA. I am talking about the upper one that's hooked to the radiator hoses.

Correct. I'm talking about the upper ones as circled in post #1 above. They are called air guides. I will look in PET this afternoon and post up an exact price and part number..

Ah, I see. Thank! I just wanted to clarify. It is very strange that the air guide and brake ducts are in the same situation, where the 997 version is a lot cheaper!

Here it is straight out of PET:

The left and right 996GT3 air guides are part number 99657523130 and 99657523230. They retail for $260.14 each!!

The left and right 997 GT3 air guides are part number 99757523191 and 99757523291. They retail for $22.85 each. On the 997GT3 Porsche calls them air distributor.

I have retrofitted the 997GT3 versions on my car as can be seen here. I used zip ties to attach them which is a lot more secure than the flimsy factory clips.

They would appear to be a more effective too. Would you agree?

Any more issues with wheel / tire interference vs the 996 version?
