I run the Kumhos but would love to try the R6s. Unfortunately they have been ruled illegal by CAMS for my series as you have to run road legal tyres. I had an argument with them over it because they are stamped DOT but they don't like that they have not for highway use on them. I would expect to be a bit quicker on the R6s but have no experience on them so not sure.

Yup, bought my first set of R6's a month ago from a guy on here, just to see what the fuss was about. Tried to hold out but put them on the car 3 weeks ago. Well, I just ordered my second set today as a spare... cause the last thing I want to do, is run out and have to go into withdrawal

There really isn't a good wheel that can keep a tire from rotating when you are braking with 6-pots and race pads when you are really hard on the binders at high speed.
Make sure the tires do NOT get mounted with and lube. I also use the "aquanet" trick and it works. Never had a tire rotate on a wheel.

I couldn't be without a P car though! So I made a deal on a 911SC RS-backdate that TRE Motorsports built back in 05...they had the car on consignment.

Hey Chuck, I had Autosport Designs do some mods on the car, it will be here next week. My first event with it is end of August with PCA and then Lotus Cup on 9/2. I will keep you posted.

Things began to work better in the afternoon, building confidence in the car. It did feel like the closest thing to a Formula Ford I ever drove with the light weight and incredible steering. I was able to brake later than with the RS as well.
There were 8 Lotuses at the event and we went out in a group during one session....not a great idea as trying to run as a group invariably causes problems with holding up faster traffic. The idea was to catch the other cars with video footage and allowing successive cars to pass/move up for "photo ops". Not something I'd do again
Here is some footage from the car:

Ron,
It looks like a motorcycle with 4 wheels. What a feeling of immediacy! I am very envious. Enjoy it. And, drive carefully.
Maybe my next car, if I can ever part with the GT3. No immediate plans.....

I'm a kuhmo fan. Very predictable at the limit. R6's sometimes I get fast consistent laps sometimes I don't and they take awhile to heat up. Kuhmo's after one warmup lap it's go!!! Mike
