I would imagine he also thought it was worth trying something that could potentially harm his reputation if it went wrong but was OK doing it as it was for a 'buddy'.
His judgement of character needs to be questioned, I would agree.

Whilst I really sympathise with your situation, I'm not sure what benefit to you posting it on various forums will acheive, other than venting your understandable anger.
People who are currently happy clients of Fearnsport will continue using them, there may be a very small amount of potential new clients who will be put off by your experience but I suspect that it will have little or no affect on their business.
Meanwhile your blood pressure will still be off the charts (I'm keen to state that I'm not falling on either side here, just thinking how I would feel in the situation) and I suspect there's little chance of either you or Fearnsport entering into dialogue to attempt to find a resolution at the current state of play.
My suggestion however difficult it may be would be to sit down with them and discuss the whole issue and see if a way forward for both of you can be worked out.
Could you honestly put up with the years and £ of going through the Courts and the stress and aggrevation this would inflict? Maybe now you would but after 12/24/36 months?
As I say, I'm not taking sides in any way on this, but personally I suspect the only way of acheiving any form of satisfactory closure would be to sit down with them and talk it out.

Would you like to explain the following seeing as your such good friends down at fearnsport;
Pistonheads members Rods car,
You know - the one that fearnsport had for 6 months completeing a big engine build, Only for rods to get the car back and it catch fire 2 days later;
I also have it on very good knooledge that Fearnsport took the car back to diagnose (and on the understanding i have to fix what they had cocked up) before handing it back and telling him it had nothing to do with them, - Go see your insurance company.
Top lot them fearnsport boys.

They are also the same who told him that his 993GT2 is an EVO, and that it has a different MAF than the 993TT (didn't they make him pay an outrageous price for it?) and it has 470bhp etc etc...
Arent't these the same guys who sent JBL930 back and forth a zillion times to their shop to get his 993TT ECU tuning right because it kept overboosting and kept telling him that he had hardware problems, yet when he placed an RS Tuning ECU and a stock ECu in there it ran flawlessly?
I might be confused as it's been a while ago...
I think JC also had some problems with his 993GT2 that they handled?..
