Why can't the repair shop just draw up a financial payment deal for the repair instead of going thru all the trouble of selling and buying back?

In your possession you now have a printed document that explains how you should sell your car to a dealership and then buy it back? And you are storing it with the other records for cars that you typically buy, hold briefly, and then resell, sometimes to the same dealership? Glad you committed that one to paper, I'd hate for you to forget the "trick."
