This is a pretty purpose driven message - I am in the market for a 996 and one that I am looking at turns out to be the one you did a rebuild on to cure a cracked head. As the guy who did all the work I am curious about your impression of the car, hopefully as an honest opinion. The car only has about 4k miles on it since your work took place. When I commented to the current owner about what looked like an oil stain on the pan he said there had been bolts on the cam cover that were loose, he snugged them up and no more issues. Not sure if you're able to comment on that.
If for no other comments I'll give you kudos for your work on that car and your posting of all the details. I've done plenty of motor builds, but on Japanese motors, and none as complicated as a water cooled Porsche.
Not trying to stalk you or second guess your work, just doing some research. Any feed back you can offer would be great.
I just watched your videos and I wonder if you have ever thought the possibility of Seafoam caused the intermix? Obviously I didnt really know the timeline and when you used it versus when you discovered the intermix.
