Hoovie killed his 996
Don't know if you guys ever saw this guy, but he works for auto trader and bought a 996 with 250,000 miles and made a bunch of videos about it. Then he decided to track it and lost blew the motor. Not a bad run for a 996.

I was sad to see Apollo 911 die. It lasted 240,000 ish miles and had 2-3 imsb replacements. People love to knock on the reliability of the 996, but Apollo speaks for itself.
Hoovie has the best car channel going on youtube. I would highly suggest subscribing to his channel.

Just read his write up.
Disapointed at his drive it in hopes the noises will go away approach.
Not hating here: Always looking for the angle I almost feel like he was pushing it to die. Will a viral 996 blew up YouTube video pay for a new motor better than the "this 996 won't die" video?
Either way will be intersting to watch how it pans out.

I'm gonna step out on a limb and say he killed it with intent to do an LS swap. Was likely the plan all along.
Otherwise, why would someone even consider tracking an unmodded, 250k mile 996?
