Yes, and previous videos of him tracking the car revealed low oil pressure at the track. He kept driving. Then, another video had some engine noise, and again, kept driving.

So whatever it was had a lot of time to get smashed around, sent through the engine.

turbo cars don't have an IMS bearing like the NA 996 does. Turbo cars are much more reliable. IMS failure will hit any NA car, auto or manual. not sure where you got that info but it is incorrect.

My youngest son is active duty...gets out this Fall.

I'm in Beaufort and a couple other places...have multiple Porsches at this point (including a couple 996's). Give me a holler if you need a hand.

I need a hand I need a hand, I need help, lol. Tell your son to continue on, keep his nose clean. How can you help me, are you willing to work on my car with me, I don't have any tools to speak for. Do you know how to diagnose and address any problems? We don't have long left here at all, just a couple weeks and we are gone

He has access to dealer auctions, which is how he gets all these sweet deals.

Agree - and has got a smoking deal on that car because someone intentionally sabatoged the wiring in the engine to make it look like it was a basket case, so that drove the cost down further. Still, the cayennes are pretty cheap.

I'm finished with this clown and his videos. Anyone who keeps driving and starting an engine known to be damaged, is not a real car guy.

I think he had the V8 swap in mind the whole time, however I agree with you he should have just dropped the running motor and parted it out for $$$ rather than blowing it up, he just blew it up for higher ratings on his channel
