Look, I may be challenged when differentiating between my **** and a hold in the ground, but you need to trust me here. My fragile ego depends on it. This 40th AE car needs a new engine. mkay?

Buying the car is in Jake's best interest. Someone else tearing into this engine could be a potential PR nightmare for him. Best thing for him is to get it in his shop and control the narrative going out on the net.

And if someone else win, it would be in their best interest to have Jake do the work...Win Win!

Bingo

The original wasn't my true max bid. I just never would have started that high if I knew it wasn't like eBay.

What's your real max bid? I'll put in a bid for one cent less to help you out

Yah, when I saw that, I was like "WTF" is he doing!
Thanks for making it all so entertaining...I sure do want to see how this turns out though.
Good luck!

6 hours left and still below 15k.

At that price I still say it's a great deal to just have it shipped directly to Jake for him to fix before you even see it. Worst case you are $30k in including the shipping for a 40AE with a 3.8 motor that you should have zero worries about as long as you listen to Jake about how to care for it.

But isn't one of the benefits of having a 40AE is that it has the extra HP from the factory?

So I don't see how that adds to the equation. Just take any 996 with a bad engine and send it to Jake and you'll probably be in for $30K or so. Get one in great shape with the color you like.
