What about the rest of the car, what else besides the engine needs work? Clutch, transmission, suspension, tires, etc? The exchange rate is bad but there are also duty that needs to be paid at the border. Will the duty be based on what the car is worth with the engine fixed and not on the BAT winning bid? Technically that's what should happen. If that's the case, what's the value of this car with the engine fixed?

IMO: As you know these cars can be expensive to keep running. I didn't consider border tax and have no idea what car is worth with a proper running engine. I was addressing the "repaired" total price was not out of line for the U.S. What many people are saying down here recently: "If you don't like the rules, vote for someone who will change them." I will admit I was shocked when I looked up the exchange rate! Hopefully, the new owner is someone who really wants, can afford and will enjoy the car

Its spring. the most horrible time of the year. The time when I want to choke people on a daily basis, and sometimes I do. We hate the first warm day of the year!
The car missed a "sweet spot" that we had to disassemble it by about two weeks. We rush nothing here. The quickest way to slow us down is by trying to rush us!

He also appreciates anytime you think of something else he should do or check. Like using a roller bearing for the IMS.
It will be slow and costly to get there, but once it's done you are going to have one hell of a car
